We want you to join us, so please complete the application.  Please fill out an application for each individual unit (for example, each car of a car club), if more than one unit is entered in the parade.  Send the completed form to the address or the email listed below. Special requests should be noted on the form. 

PLEASE NOTE, FEDERAL, STATE AND COUNTY OFFICEHOLDERS AND ANNOUNCED POLITICAL CANDIDATES MUST SUBMIT A  $50.00 DONATION AS A FEE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PARADE.  WE ENTHUSIASTICALLY LIKE TO SEE OUR REPRESENTATIVES AND CANDIDATES IN THE PARADE.  YOUR SMALL DONATION HELPS DEFRAY THE COST OF THE PARADE AND ALSO BRINGS YOU IMMENSE EXPOSURE TO YOUR CONSTITUENTS.

Please note that all applications are subject to review by the Clawson 4^th of July Committee.  We reserve the right to refuse permission to appear in the parade.

Your entry must be received no later than Wednesday, June 20, 2008.  I will try to have the parade order and mail or e-mail each group a parade unit number and assembly area map in late June.

Please note that no products or candy or promotional items may be thrown from any parade unit.  Items may instead be handed to spectators at curbside. We want to keep kids safe by preventing them from running into the street for handouts.

The parade will start forming at 7:30 AM on Friday, July 4th at the Clawson Shopping Center, which is on 14 Mile Rd. east of Crooks Rd.   The parade will begin at 9:00 AM and continue East on 14 Mile Road to North Main Street, proceeding West on Broadacre to Bywood, and finally heading North on Bywood ending at Elmwood near the Clawson City Park, approximately two miles away.

Classic car entrants: To try to optimize the length of the parade, the parade committee may request that classic car entrants travel side-by-side rather than single file.  Please be respectful in accommodating the committee.
